These Pet Friendly Places in Jacksonville Will Keep Your Life from Getting “Ruff”
We love our fur-babies here at JAX Fray, and we understand that sometimes you want to spend some time with your furry pal outside of the house and yard. We love finding really cool things to do with our pet pals that can get them out, get them active, and also show them a good time. Here are some pet friendly places to take your furry friends so that you can have a good time together and get a breath of fresh air.
This place is a weekly farmers market where vendors bring fresh fruit, vegetables, art, and handmade crafts to sell. We love the Riverside Arts Market because it is such a great way to meet and support local artisans and farmers. The Riverside Arts Market is open Saturday mornings from 9am to 3pm under the Fuller Warren Bridge. You can bring your furry friends to keep you company as you walk around browsing all the different fruits and vegetables. You might even be able to hear some live music that sometimes gets played at the market. Be sure to stop by one of the food trucks and pick up something delectable. And should that delectable something end up being devoured by your pup, well then at least it went to a good cause.
This place is really cool if you are looking to relax and sip on a tap beer with your best friend by your side. This bar is dog-friendly and super trendy! With two locations (one in Atlantic Beach and the other in Bartram park), just pick whichever is closer and spend some time hanging out, checking out their extensive selection of beer (and wine) , and relaxing with your pet! A definite sweet place to visit!
: This beautifully landscaped park is a doggy dream! It circles a pond which makes the park so serene and beautiful on a summer day! This community park has a dog park but also features jogging and nature trails where you can walk your dog! This park is always well manicured and a great place to meet fellow dog lovers as well as enjoy the great outdoors!
Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens
If you and your fur buddy enjoy nature trails and good ol‘ scenic hikes, you’ll love the Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens! This place is inexpensive and a real gem! There are chances to see nature and get some well-deserved fresh air. There are birds like owls and so much more to see! The best part is the whole place is dog-friendly! Our favorite part is that there are trails for every type of nature loving pet/human duo! The trails are graded from easiest to most difficult, no matter what you are into there is a trail for you!
