Career Bowl 2022 Job Fair
Could there be a better way to get on the right track in the new year than a new job? Live Music: Callie Leigh
At Hoptinger, in Jacksonville Beach, Callie Leigh will be putting on a show this Thursday evening. She describes herself as “a music-lovin’ girl, just trying to share her gift with the world.” Callie plays guitar and sings, often performing contemporary songs. Jacksonville Boat Show
For the boat enthusiasts, come on out for three days of luxurious boats on display at the Osborn Convention Center. The North Florida Marine Association is inviting all guests to admire boats that range from skiing, fishing, cruisers, jet skis and more. Want the opportunity to “bling out” your own personalized mug? “She’s Dazzled” will be hosting this Bling & Sip event, with step-by-step instructions to embellish your coffee mug, along with your first alcoholic beverage covered. Comic Book Signing
For comic book enthusiasts, this pre-sale event will include a signed copy of “Hardly Heroes” at Mythical Mountain. Shattermare Comics team is hosting, and they expect a somewhat large group, so be sure to arrive early. Professional Bull Riders
On their Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour, the Professional Bull Riders will be putting on a show in Jacksonville this Saturday. For anyone interested in rodeo or bull riding, (or for the folks that just got really absorbed in “Yellowstone”), this will surely be an entertaining event. At the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, there is plenty of seating and great views for spectating. There are still over 400 tickets left, so you can make a last-minute decision in regards to attending. 7 p.m. $40+. Sail Around St. Augustine
This is the last chance to sail around St. Augustine to witness their Night of Lights display. This weekend,  luxury yachts will be leaving the dock every 15 minutes for a one-hour cruise to get one more look of the twinkling light display along the Historic St Augustine Bayfront. To make the experience even more enjoyable, there will be a waterside barbecue, a large selection of nonalcoholic drinks, and a performance by local musician, Rob Peck. “Dog Man: the Musical”
Dav Pilkey, the creator of “Captain Underpants,” is at it again with his new creation of “Dog Man: The Musical.” The plot focuses on two best friends, Harold and George, who write a musical about an inspirational character, who is half man and half dog. Dog Man is a crime-fighting hero on the hunt for an evil cat. This on-stage musical is said to be hilarious and hearty. 10 a.m. $8.50.
