Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail Bike Hike
If you have never biked along the paved Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail, this path extends about seven miles out, passing rather scenic views and quaint neighborhoods. This trail is part of a nation-wide, “Rails to Trails” program, designed to turn abandoned railroad lines into linear parks. For Thursday’s guided bike hike, a park naturalist will be leading the group at 11 a.m. along the trail, at a leisurely pace. With the cooler weather and predicted sunshine, a casual bike ride could be a great late morning approach for a nice day. Note: Bring your own bike. 10- 10:45 a.m. and 11- 11:45 a.m. Free. It is time to take advantage of Jacksonville’s unique goat yoga, as this is one of the last remaining weeks to give it a shot. Little Peeps Farm hosts this quirky experience, with the opportunity to allow baby goats to jump on your back while you strike a yoga pose. There are also lingering chickens and older goats that will occasionally lie down on your mat. All in all, goat yoga is very fun, and everyone has a very memorable time, whether you like yoga or not. 9:30- 11 a.m. $25.
