Making the Most of 4th of July in #JAX

 

 

We all know that America’s birthday is a day full of fun, and it is no exception in Jacksonville. To make this celebratory holiday even better, this year’s 4th of July celebrations are going to be BIG. There is plenty going down for anyone ready to clown. Break out the red, white, and blue, and hit the streets of #JAX

 

Celebration Run 

The BEST WAY to start a holiday is a run. Who’s with me?! I know you are all shaking your heads in disappointment at that statement, but imagine how good you’ll feel afterwards. Top finishers win some prize money.

July 4th Fireworks 

Get all the things you own that are red, white, and blue, and join the crew in Downtown Jax for some popping fireworks! With these poppin’ off over the majestic St. Johns River, the show will be viewable from both the North and South banks!

Red, White, and BOOM! 

The 4th of July concert is coming around again at River City Brewing Co! The doors open at 7 pm, with performances, starting at 8!

Wicked Barley Brunch

It’s the early morning hours and you’re already dying to celebrate. Well, perf, because Wicked Barley is kicking off your Independence Day with brunch. It starts at 8. Enjoy drink specials, and yard games!

Get a chair for the beach and grab your friends (and maybe get there early because it’s always crowded). What’s better than watching fireworks explode over the ocean?

Independence Day at the Zoo 

In celebration of Independence Day, the zoo is offering BOGO general admission tickets! So if anyone wants to see some cute animals play on the 4th of July, celebrate your freedom and have a fun day at the zoo.

Moosehaven’s American Pride 4th of July 

 It’s free. It happens every year. And it’s BIG. With live music, food trucks, and fireworks over the river, get ready for some good, ‘ole country music and a good time. Keep in mind that parking is $5!

Live Acoustic Music Celebration 

 Maybe you are one of those unique folks that want to celebrate the 4th in a different way. So would you have any interest in acoustic tunes and vinyl? Come join this 4th of July party on the patio! There will even be fireworks at 9 pm!

4th of July Throwback Baseball Game 

 The tradition is upon us once again…the Westside and Eastside of Springfield are facing off for bragging rights. What better way to celebrate America than with some baseball, umpires, announcers, food trucks, and fanfare…it’s all there. Come watch the game!

Hyatt Regency Riverfront Celebration 

I know there are fireworks everywhere but I highly recommend this Riverfront celebration because of the best views in town! Come on out to the River Deck, for a spectacular view!

BBQ Day Party 

 Officially called the “Long Island Iced Tea 4th of July Day Party BBQ”, For $25, you will get a thick BBQ plate with 2 sides OR you can include the bottomless long islands for $35.

Pool Deck Party 

American Legion Post 137 is hosting a  pool party WITH a tiki bar! food, drinks, contests, karaoke, and prizes…I seriously can’t imagine a better way to celebrate the USA.
