Cookies and Creme
Ever since Cookies and Creme arrived in Jax Beach in 2019, locals can’t get enough. Aside from being one of the only dessert shops with late-night hours, Cookies and Creme also has the advantage of making your experience unique with hand-crafted cookie and ice cream sandwiches. Making fresh cookies every day and whipping up their own ice cream, this couple-owned business’ goal is “baking the beach a better place.” 5-11 p.m. Closed Monday. 241 N 13th Ave. Jacksonville Beach, FL // @cncjaxbeach

Makenu, which translates to “trial or imperfection” in Maori, is what shop owners Tucker Juan and Jessica Diebel consider to be the start of their journey in creating this sweet shop. Makenu Chocolate offers single origin chocolate, sea salt chocolate, dark chocolate with roasted nibs and all the chocolate types you can name. With amazing protein chocolate balls as a part of the mix, Makenu is a great spot to satisfy your sweet tooth or give a tasty gift to your sweetheart. 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. 30 Seminole Rd, Atlantic Beach, FL // @makenuchocolate

Mayday Ice Cream
Mayday’s ice cream will put the spring in your step with their created artisan flavors and toppings. The name originates from a story about WWII vets, who would fly into such freezing cold temperatures they started to create ice on their actual planes. With hand-crafted ice cream, homemade sprinkles, homemade waffles cones and pints-to-go, it is no wonder that Mayday locations continue to pop up over town. 12-10 p.m. 1198 Beach Blvd, Suite 7, Jacksonville Beach, FL // @maydayicecream

Pelican’s has 100 flavors to choose from (yes, 100) and has been in the Jax Beach area for 20 years. If a SnoBall with pink cotton candy and skylight shaved ice sounds good, give Pelican’s a try. Or, if you are a parent and want to have a special event for your child, Pelican’s regularly caters kiddie events at pretty affordable rates. 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. 1029 3rd St N, Jacksonville Beach, FL // @pelicansjaxbeach
