What is better on a hot Florida day than a fresh brewski? Almost nothing. I am sure you all have a list of your favorite bars, but what’s a couple more? Grab your friends and check out these spots this summer.

Brewz
With three locations that are spread among Atlantic Beach, Riverside, and Bartram Park, you can always find a Brewz close by! Each one has a different on-tap list, which always keeps your visit a bit unique. Brewz has a big selection of tasty craft beers, which can all be bought in growlers too. Atlantic Beach is definitely their most popular spot, with plenty of events that range from live music to trivia. If you want a good buzz and a good atmosphere, give Brewz a go. Brewz Atlantic Beach: 1011 Atlantic Blvd, Atlantic Beach, FL. // Brewz Riverside: 2695 Post St, Jacksonville, FL. // Brewz Bartram Park: 14866 Old St. Augustine Rd Unit 101, Jacksonville, FL;  @brewzatlanticbeach @brewzriverside @brewzbartrampark

Hyperion Brewing
You may not be familiar with the historic Springfield area of Jacksonville, but this charming little district has new businesses popping up left and right. Hyperion Brewing is one of the newer bars in the area, opening in late 2017. “We’re a Jacksonville-hidden gem for sure and female-owned and operated. We have 15 taps with lots of variety on the menu, including our secret menu of beer mixes. Just ask a bartender ‘what’s the secret mix today?’ and they’ll know,” owner Alex McKeown says. With a taproom, beer garden, and plenty of special events, you will surely have a fun and memorable time! Hyperion Brewing: 1740 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL; @hyperion_brewing_co

Lemon Bar
There are so many positive attributes about Lemon Bar a definitely a fan favorite out in Neptune Beach. First off, Lemon Bar is smack on the beach. For that reason, everyone flocks to it when the weather is warm and sunny. It is a huge day drinking spot, so the time to socialize is earlier because it gets pretty quiet at night. With tons of specialty cocktails and daiquiris, you can definitely sip on something refreshing while you get your mingle on. Lemon Bar: 2 Lemon St, Neptune Beach, FL; @lemonbarjax

Surfer the Bar
I feel confident that you could live in Jacksonville for a mere 24 hours and would hear someone mention Surfer. It is definitely the most popular bar in Jax Beach. With indoor and outdoor seating, a wrap-around, second-floor patio, and live music, Surfer really hits the nail on the head for quality entertainment. If you want to embrace the laid-back, beach vibe, Surfer is your ideal destination. Plus, it gets really wild and fun when you want to party hard at night. They also have a Wednesday night special for $3 Whiteclaws and bottomless mimosas on Sunday for $10. Surfer the Bar: 200 1st St N, Jacksonville Beach, FL; @surferthebarjax

The Tini Martini Bar
Do we have any martini fans? While the tasty martinis are enough to lure you into Tini Martini, you’ll want to stay for the ambiance. Located just at the front veranda of the Casablanca Inn in St. Augustine, you feel like you are on vacation with the tropical setting. Aside from plenty of martini options, Tini Martini also has a great wine, beer and cocktail selection, such as the treasured drink of choice “The Storm”. The Volstead
Opening on New Year’s Eve in 2013, The Volstead has certainly gotten its start with a bang. It is a speakeasy-style bar in downtown Jax. An interesting tidbit on its namesake and history: the bar got its name from The Volstead Act, which started prohibition in the U.S. The irony is clear, but The Volstead’s goal is to throw time back to an era of prosperity and change, which you can observe with their classy music and amazing drinks. General Manager, Paul Compagnon says, “Our most exciting cocktail would be the Baked Apple Sazerac. Everyone loves a fire show. Our staff has the ability to use almost any ingredient we can get our hands on.” The Volstead: 115 W Adams St. Jacksonville, FL; @thevolsteadjax

Wicked Barley Brewing
As the Wicked Barley team says, they have “naughty ales for noble souls”, which I personally think is a great way to put it, with nearly 30 delectable on-tap choices plus an extensive food menu. To keep up with Covid-19, they also let you place food and drink orders online now for pick up. To top it all off, Wicked Barley gives you every possible form of transportation to access their place. Yes, that even means you can get there by boat, which is very Florida-friendly. With limited bar options in the Baymeadows area, Wicked Barley is definitely your best bet.
