Discover 5 Waterfront Bars in Jacksonville Where the Views are as Amazing as the Drinks

One of the great luxuries about living in Florida is the scenic, waterfront views. Jacksonville is full of them, with 22 miles of beaches, the St. John’s River, and intracoastal waterways.

There’s nothing better than savoring an ice cold drink in the warm Florida sun, especially on the waterfront.

Whether you’re wanting to wind down from work, or spend time with friends and family, check out these bars to make the most of your drinking and waterfront view experience.

Who doesn’t love a rooftop bar? Located about 10 minutes from Downtown Jacksonville, Black Sheep’s rooftop bar is the perfect spot to sip on a cocktail and take in breathtaking views of downtown and St. John’s River. They take bar food to another level, serving fried green olives stuffed with pimento cheese, Old Bay potato chips with point reyes fondue, and Wild Georgia Shrimp and grits, to name a few.

#FrayLifeTip: Mimosas are a brunch staple, but have you tried a beermosa? A Belgian-style white ale is mixed with freshly squeezed orange juice to create this concoction. Try out Black Sheep’s brunch 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Wicked Barley Brewing Company

Wicked Barley Brewing Company is fairly new, having opened in 2014. Their slogan is, “Naughty Ales for Noble Souls,” which is no doubt, the perfect combination. They even have a dock, so you can actually travel to it by boat. Kick back and enjoy one of their many selections of beers in the waterfront beer garden. (It’s pet-friendly, by the way.)

#FrayLifeTip: Don’t ignore the killer food menu at Wicked Barley. If you’re a lager or pale ale drinker, order the Left Lager Cheese Curds with your drink, you won’t regret it.

Fionn Maccool’s is a casual Irish pub located on the St. John’s River and boasts 40 beers on tap. It will simultaneously give you an authentic taste of Ireland and a scenic Jacksonville view, thanks to the riverside patio that seats up to 60 people.

#FrayLifeTip: Guinness beer and beef stew are great individually, but when put together, it’s a masterpiece. Satisfy your taste buds with the Guinness Beef Stew.
