The Whistling Death 5K – Nicknamed “Whistling Death” by the Japanese, this race celebrates the F4U Corsair of WWII, the Marine Corps main fighter in the Pacific. October 12

City of Atlantic Beach Fall Festival – Food, giveaways, and fall activities… Come on out to Donner Park Community Center in Atlantic Beach for a good time! Onslow Oktoberfest – A 3-day event with wines and, quite frankly, the weirdest specialty products…puffed corn snacks, pop-corn, sweet biscuits, wafers, waffles, soups, and soup additives (haha). October 26

Penney Farms 5K – Race along tree-lined streets of the J.C. Penney Memorial Scenic Highway loop with your fellow runners at the 6th Annual Penney Farms Historic 5K Run! As has been the case for many years, this picturesque run has had beautiful weather and great prizes! October 27

Evergreen Pumpkin Run – Get your Halloween costume, and get ready to RUN. A $50 1st Place Sports gift card will be given to the runners wearing the best costumes! November 15-17

2019 Jacksonville Film Fest – This year, the festival theme is ‘First Hollywood’! Jacksonville was once known as the “Winter Film Capital of the World” and was home to 30 film studios, so it’s no mystery that Jax has played an important role in film history! This festival celebrates all that and encourages a new generation of filmmakers to utilize the city as their canvas. (San Marco Theatre // 6 pm // Free)

November 23

McKenzie’s Run – McKenzie Noelle Wilson had a heart for serving others, and unfortunately passed away at only age 15. Come run in her honor! November 29 – December 2

Christmas Made in the South – This is a borderline winter event, but no reason not to include it because it’s awesome.
