Wednesday, February 6
Art Walk – Downtown Jacksonville Art Walk is going down at 5 pm! Aside from gazing at beautiful pieces of art, you will also have the option to listen to a live poetry reading on the main stage, drink delicious coffee, purchase from food vendors, and mucho más!
Green Room Run – It’s fun, it’s quick, and it’s…maybe not so easy. Run at Green Room at 7 pm to get discounts on beer afterward! Come for the exercise, stay for the social scene.
Thursday, February 7
Om in the Dome – This event will sell out, so for the people that want a hypnotic evening of yoga under the stars in the planetarium, come on! There will be a fabulous instructor, Melissa Hirschman, along with master handpan musician, John Guinta. 6 pm, and don’t be late!
Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop – You know those soft, big, fuzzy blankets you see on Etsy? …Okay, maybe you don’t go on Etsy. Well, you can make your own at Creative Grain Studio at 6 pm! So if you want to get cozy, prepare to craft a soft throw blanket!
Friday, February 8
Dry Reef at Surfer the Bar – Why not listen to beach-inspired songs as you hang out at the beach-inspired bar? Dry Reef is making the magic happen at Surfer as they bring waves of their uplifting, high-energy music all night long. It’s free, so come out and grab a drink!
Go Karting – The Autobahn (in Jacksonville, not Germany, guys) is where all the Go Karting action will be this Friday at 7 pm. If you want to race a couple comrades and socialize with a couple more, then join the whole crew coming out for the fun!
Saturday, February 9
Food Truck Takeover – It is the 3rd annual (drum roll, please) Battle of the Allstars Food Truck Takeover!!! It will be at a NEW location at Regency Square Mall with all of Jacksonville’s most prized food trucks competing for an award. If you like food and healthy competition, then get your fork ready and go!
Saturday Night Market – With more vendors, more music, more food, and more drinks (common thread is “more”!), the February Night Market on Main Street is ready to give you a treat. If you can gather up a good group of friends, prepare to indulge in tacos, margaritas, and FUN, all starting at 6 pm.
Sunday, February 10
Galentine’s Market – Sundays are for the girls! You want to sip some bubbly and hang out with all the chic vendors at Root Down Jax? Me too! From 2-7pm, you can do just that, while shopping for some trendy clothes to add to your wardrobe. If you’ve got some free time, you might want to swing by!
Monday, February 11
Cosplay Pinball – Anyone see Deadpool? Great movie, I know. Keg & Coin will have a special guest (Aka, Deadpool) playing pinball! Anyone that beats this mysterious Deadpool will get an awesome prize from the brewery! So why not show off your pinball skills at 8 pm?
The Bachelor Weekly Watch Party – Some of you are totally laughing at this, but for anyone that watches The Bachelor, whether serious or only to make fun, River City Brewing Company is the place to be for their Weekly Watch Party! Starting as early as 7 pm, get a brewski and get READY for some girl fights.
Tuesday, February 12
Doggone Cornhole – If you want to play cornhole and watch doggies run around happily, come to Kanine Social from 7-9pm. You can let your dog make some friends and you can, too! Who doesn’t like dogs and cornhole?
4th Quarter Bartender’s Brawl – Sixteen local bartenders at The Volstead are going head to head in a drink-making contest to compete for a $1,000 cash prize! Come see the carnage at the Bartender’s Brawl and get yourself a tasty drink!
This week is loaded with new, different, fun, EXCITING stuff to do! I know you hear a lot about bingo and trivia, but what about a Bachelor Watch Party or Go Karting? Come on, party people, and live it up in Jax! Getting tired from all the fun activities this week? Make one of these coffee shops your new go-to for a pick me up.
