Wednesday, January 16
– Cowford Chophouse will dazzle you with their Wednesday Wine Down, as you gaze upon the beauty of downtown Jax from the rooftop bar. Listen to some relaxing reggae from The Band Be Easy as you get pumped for a $100 gift card giveaway!
– Bring all your old-school, awesome Volkswagens to Cappys Pizzeria at 6pm for their VW Night. If you want to socialize with other VW owners, munch on some pizza, and sip on some brewski, then you’re in luck!
Thursday, January 17
– If you aren’t a member of the Jacksonville Public Library, you better hop on it in time for their Big Book Sale! Members get 25% off, so you can grab all the books you want AND inevitably become smarter through all your reading. First bag is $12 and second bag is FREE. Now is the time to finally get your nose in the novels.
– Would you consider yourself enough of a cupcake connoisseur to taste the delicacies and compare and contrast? Oh, and did I mention you get to do that with beer? From 6-9pm, be guided through 3 tasty pairings of beer and cupcakes at Hyperion Brewing.
Friday, January 18
– It’s Friday night, so we all want something fun. Okay, perfect! Because the Funny as Ish Comedy Tour will be going down at the Veterans Memorial Arena. Get all your pals and snag yourself a ticket.
– As the winner of 8 Academy Awards, Amadeus tells the story of Vienna court composer and his jealousy when he learns that the vulgar Mozart was the one to receive divine musical gifts. Hosted by the Jacksonville Symphony, watch this man’s envious plot to destroy Mozart fold out at 7pm.
Saturday, January 19
– This unique boutique is finally opening, so don’t miss out on a first look at The Quirky Crypt’s array of eclectic items from noon-6pm. And, as a special bonus, get in on their Cosplay Contest at 2pm (that is a comic book reference for all of you that do not know)! Winners are announced at 5pm with awards!
– Who wants to see a national touring stepping show stomp up Jacksonville? I do! If you said “yes” you DO NOT want to miss The Stompdown. At 7:30pm, head to the Florida Theatre for a show that will blow you away…or stomp you away?
Sunday, January 20
– A blood moon is happening in Jacksonville on Sunday!! Want to get an awesome look? Grab a ticket and head out to the Jacksonville University Observatory for the Super Blood Moon Watch Party. With powerful telescopes and hot beverages, get pumped for this cosmic event.
– Cougars, lions, tigers, leopards, lynx, coatimundis, foxes…need I say more? If you’re just chilling on Sunday and wish you had something more fun to do, head out to Catty Shack Ranch and get a 45 minute guided tour to see all these rad animals!
Monday, January 21
– “I have a dream…” that you’ll come out to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King at The Ritz Theatre and Museum at 10am with the Holiday Grand Parade and post-parade celebration!
– Another fun night for some TRIVIA at Mellow Mushroom on Deer Lake Ct! At 7:30pm, get your friends, put on your thinking caps, and get PUMPED. It’s free to play, but you can always win prizes!
Tuesday, January 22
– Frost Yourself with Monahan Jewelers is an exclusive winter event is an opportunity to enjoy an evening of bling, bubbles, and photobooth shots with all your best gal pals at Monahan Jewelers. With swag bags and valet parking provided, come out at 6:30pm for a night of frosty fun.
