Fall is here, and the leaves are changing! Now that the weather is nice and cozy, dating season is back in action! For all the lucky people who get to hang with their friends AND go on dates at the same time (that’s right, double dates!), read on for all the best spots to hit.
Thursdays at Milano’s Pizza
It may be a quite specific date suggestion, but nothing is better than cheap pizza, right? Milano’s has $1.50 slices on Thursdays and $2 draft beers! If you bring along your date and one other couple, it’s the perfect opportunity to chow down for a low, low cost. Talk about winning…

The Phoenix Bowling
This place has it ALL. It is absolutely perfect for a nice social double date. A patio bar, a whiskey bar and a bowling bar– you can find a drink anywhere in this place! With old decor, reasonably priced bowling and greats drinks & food, you can wander around The Phoenix and have a great time with your group.
Wednesday Wine Downs
You may have heard of Wine Downs at Cowford Chophouse, and rightfully so. They make your hump day super fun! You and your date can go for $30 and chill on the rooftop bar while live music is played. And it’s even more fun with another couple because it is laid back and a great social scene.

TRIVIA
There are tons of trivia options around JAX. Let me just lay them out real quick… Mellow Mushroom on Mondays, Flask & Cannon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Monkey’s Uncle on Tuesdays, Hoptinger on Wednesdays. Trivia is a fun way to get through the monotony of the week AND to squad up on a double date with an awesome trivia team!
The Pier Cantina
This restaurant & bar is right next to the Jax Beach Pier, so if you are looking for the perfect opportunity to bring 2 lovey-dovey couples together, get tipsy off some margaritas and joyfully (or drunkenly) walk onto the beach after and then play BINGO. The Pier Cantina is your answer!
Tuesdays at Tinseltown
This movie theater is a bit nicer than a couple of the other options in Jacksonville, but THAT is why it’s a perfect double-date spot, especially on Tuesdays! With $5 movies and cozy seats that recline, you can put one couple in one chair and one in the other while you watch your flick (at a good price).
Concerts at the Veterans Memorial Arena
There are always concerts going down at the Veterans Memorial Arena! Just this past month, we had P!nk, Travis Scott and Jersey Boys to name some of the top stars. There are always deals on tickets, so take a look at who is coming to town next and get your solid double date in action.

Jumbo Shrimp Game
In Jacksonville, we love our Jumbo Shrimp. Obviously, you can only see this minor league baseball team during certain times throughout the year, BUT you can get tickets for as low as $9 a person and the games are SO FUN. Picture yourself, your attractive date, and one other beautiful couple, seated and watching the game. Picture PERFECT.
Hanna Park
Whether you camp for the night or merely take some time to kayak, Hanna Park is a great spot for a double date. You have options from biking to surfing to stand-up paddleboarding and so much more. Plus, as an added perk, the park is super pretty, so it has perfect romantic vibes.
#FrayLifeTip: They have a $5 entrance fee per car, so I recommend carpooling if you want to save some money.
The Volstead
No surprise that a bar is a perfect setting for a double date, but The Volstead is one of the BEST bars. With awesome handcrafted cocktails in Downtown Jax, it is perfect for anyone looking to do only a solo date or a duo date with their pals. Get you and your date some fancy cocktails and soak up the great ambiance.
Mind Bender Escape Rooms
We know these can get a bit pricey, at $30 a person, but the Mind Bender Escape Rooms really give you a chance to do something different. You can tackle the challenge of escaping your room through hints and clues with your team! So it makes for quite the fun double date, assuming your friends are smart.
Mini Bar
This may be quite a casual date, but let’s say that’s exactly what you’re aiming for. Grab your girl or guy and prepare for a romantic brunch at Mini Bar as you and another fun couple munch on some yummy, affordable donuts. They also offer beer and coffee. So if you’re really looking for a mix at a great price, you found it!
TopGolf
Whether you’ve tried it or not, TopGolf is always a fun place to be, particularly when you have some downtime and the wait isn’t crazy long! Just get your double date squad of four and show off your golf skills. You can get drinks while you wait and play certain games while you golf. I swear, it is almost impossible to have a bad time.
