Kevin James at Florida Theatre
Despite having a long run as a comedic actor in film and TV, Kevin James’ roots are as a standup comedian. While you might know him best from sitcoms like “King of Queens” and “Kevin Can Wait,” his standup specials like 2001’s “Sweat the Small Stuff” and a more recent special in 2018 for Netflix called “Never Don’t Give Up” are enjoyable collections of observational comedy, not exactly groundbreaking stuff but the guy has stage presence! Go see the guy from “Paul Blart” do comedy, you’ll probably laugh! $49.50-$175. 7:30 p.m. 128 E Forsyth St. Ste. 300, Jacksonville FL; floridatheatre.com // @FloridaTheatre

3 Blind Dates at Limelight Theatre
The folks at the Limelight Theatre in St. Augustine have the perfect post-dinner Valentine’s weekend date night activity: an evening of improv comedy inspired by true dating stories that you can share with the cast over drinks before the show! The show is a goofy mix of improv comedy and speed dating, where you get to watch three single women’s misadventures with a variety of eligible partners. $15. 8 p.m. 11 Old Mission Ave. St. Augustine, FL; limelight-theatre.org // @limelightstaug

MOCA Movie Night presents “The Square” at MOCA Jacksonville
Perhaps you’ve heard of recent academy awards nominee “Triangle of Sadness,” an over-the-top, scatological satire of clueless influencers and the sheltered ultra-rich, but you may not be familiar with director Ruben Östlund’s previous film, “The Square,” another pitch-black satire, this one of the world of fine art. What better venue than MOCA Jacksonville to take in this over-the-top parody of artists, art collectors, and their enablers? The screening is a part of Third Wednesdays at MOCA, a monthly event that features happy hour specials, live music, and other fun programming. $8. 6:30 p.m. 333 N Laura St. Jacksonville, FL; mocajacksonville.unf.edu // @mocajax
