With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we think it’s safe to officially call it pie season, so we’ve put together a list of five of our favorite pie shops in the Jacksonville area. From critically acclaimed “pie speakeasies” to rustic roadside favorites, you’ve got plenty of options for high-quality pie in Northeastern Florida.

Mixed Fillings Pie Shop

This critical darling was named the best pie shop in Florida by The Florida Times-Union, the best pie shop in Jacksonville by Void Magazine, and their key lime pie was named one of the five best in the state by the Times-Union. This speakeasy-style pie shop (no sign, enter through the back) is tucked away in Riverside and Avondale, where chef Natasha Burton has honed her craft since opening in 2019. Their goofy yet self-explanatory flavor names make ordering a treat, with current menu highlights like the PSL-aping A Whole Latte Pumpkin Pie and the chocolatey Wake Me Up Before You Cocoa. Can’t figure out what to get? Try a pie flight, a set of four good-sized slices to help you find your new favorite. Me, Myself & Pies

Found every weekend at the Fernandina Beach Farmers Market, they offer pies in two sizes, a traditional 9” and bite-sized, single-serving pies that are as tasty as they are Instagrammable. Their rotating selection of sweet and savory pies includes favorites like pecan, chocolate French silk, and Quiche Lorraine, all quick to sell out each Saturday. We’re crossing our fingers for a brick-and-mortar location someday soon. Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 1020 Park St, Jacksonville, FL; // @memyselfpies

Heavenly Chocolate Creations

Heavenly Chocolate Creations’ one-of-a-kind 10-inch “deep dish” pies, available in all the classic flavors, including peanut butter, apple praline, and Southern pecan, aren’t always available, sometimes rotated out for other dessert favorites, but are absolutely worth tracking down when they are. These decadent treats are currently up for preorder for the holiday season, so now’s the time to stock up. Tuesday to Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.; 4251 Lenox Ave #6, Jacksonville, FL; @heavenlychocolatecreations

This Atlantic Beach boutique bakery owned and operated by baker Anita Hyde wouldn’t exist had she not gotten laid off from her high-profile commercial insurance gig, a life-changing experience that reignited her love for baking. This charming roadside gem features pies made with fruit from local and regional farms, tucked into one of the tenderest crusts you’ll ever come across. Flavors come and go with the seasons, and many popular items sell out daily, so be sure you pop in nice and early to get your pick of some of these killer treats.
