Summer is just around the corner, and as the temperatures rise, so does your need to be outside. Satisfy that desire by attending one of the many festivals coming to the River City. From art to music to fancy to casual, Jacksonville is providing everything you need for the ultimate outdoor event scene. Grab some friends or head there solo. Either way, you’re guaranteed to have a good time attending one or more of these festivities.

Mighty Oak Music & Makers Festival 

You can be one of the first people to attend the Cummer Museum’s inaugural music showcase. Bring art to life through word and rhythm when you experience musical presentation of over 15 Florida based bands. This outdoor festival will stretch across the 2.5 acres of historic gardens. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket because this is an event where you’ll want to stay all day. Champicnic 

Come dressed in your finest pink and white attire (yes, it’s required) and celebrate an ode to all things rosé. Champicnic is Jacksonville’s first luxury picnic full of upscale vibes and scenery. You are encouraged to bring blankets, pillows, and chairs for seating, and yes, they too, must follow the pink and white theme. You can expect to partake in 18-foot charcuterie display, sip on internationally curated rosé-flavored beverages with food pairings from Jax’s very own top chefs. AS IF! North Florida’s 90s Fest

It’s time for a blast from past! Relieve the nostalgic memories of the 90s when you attend this throwback-themed festival. Headliner, Montell Jordan, is sure to show you exactly how he did it in the 90s while hyping up the crowd for a good time. Bring the family together as there is something for everyone: food, live music with performances from regional musicians, water slide for the kiddos, and photobooths to capture the ultimate celebration of all things 90s. $20 adult. $5 kids. Art in the Garden Festival 

The Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens is hosting creative celebration for all things art. As you’re walking through the park, you can show your appreciation for art by supporting interactive art such as live sketches and painting, view muralists and chalk drawings while listening to smooth music floating in the air. Also, you can support local artists, makers and growers. Jacksonville Jazz Festival

The Jacksonville Jazz Festival returns on its originally scheduled date! Come out and celebrate the continuation of tradition 40 years in the making. This 3-day event includes free entertainment stretched across two stages along the St. Johns River. You’re sure to get to grooving with performances by Ledisi, Patti LaBelle, Mike Phillips, Ray Callender, various orchestra bands and so many more. Free. Various times. Riverfront Plaza: 2 W.
