Maybe you still haven’t made it to an Art Walk in Downtown Jax or maybe you made it and LOVED it. Whatever the case, don’t miss April’s Art Walk, filled with live poetry, artwork, dancing,food trucks, and so much more! (Downtown Jax Art Walk // 5 pm // Free)

Thursday, April 4th

This hard-to-beat yoga event is back! Om in the Dome is a chance to practice yoga in a planetarium under the actual starry night sky. There is also gentle live music while you stretch out those limbs. This sells out fast (because it is awesome), so get your tickets! (Bryan-Gooding Planetarium // 6 or 7:15 pm // $20)

Friday, April 5th

So we get a ping pong tournament and a corn hole tournament in this same week?! You betcha! Come on out to Surfer this Friday evening for a chance to win tickets to the Bonnaroo festival by kicking some booty in their Corn Hole tournament. Even if you just absolutely suck, you can drink your sorrows away (jk). (Surfer the Bar // 5-10 pm // Free)

Saturday, April 6th

Anyone tired of 5Ks yet? I know you aren’t! So if you’re looking for another fun one to run, take a look at The Little BIG Run. This run benefits the one on one mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters! So not only will you be exercising, but you will also be supporting a good cause! (Winston YMCA // 9 am // $30)

Sunday, April 7th

We all like a little reggae in Florida…It’s quite fitting for the beachy lifestyle. So obviously it’s about to be epic when Law hits the stage at Surfer on the “There and Back Again” Tour! Come on out and enjoy a night filled with good vibes. (Surfer // 6-10 pm // $15)

The Jacksonville Lantern Light Festival is still shining brightly at the Morocco Shrine this Sunday night! They have beautiful light displays for the whole family and engaging activities. If you want to see some dazzling works and awesome displays, get the fam and get a ticket! (Morocco Shrine // 6-10 pm // $20+)

Tuesday, April 9th

Anyone ever tried floatation therapy for deep relaxation? It’s all the rage these days. So if you haven’t tried it, now is a perfect time! Be Still Float Studio is opening up in Riverside and they are having their official ribbon cutting ceremony this Tuesday at 11 am! Even better, they will have tours, samples, and prizes! Wednesday, April 10th

Maybe you just need a little fun on hump day to get through the week. Well, that works out perfectly in light of Whiskey Beach nights on Wednesdays! Spend your evening at Surfer with drinks a-plenty and let yourself be immersed by the country music in the air and whiskey flowing like water…(Surfer the Bar // 9 pm // Free)

 

Thursday, April 11th

Hoptinger in Riverside is starting a brand new weekly event – Records on the Roof! Every Thursday from 5-9 pm, vinyl records will be played on their rooftop bar for all to enjoy. You can even bring your own record (highly encouraged) and purchase records, too! Sounds like a hoot. (Hoptinger in Riverside // 5-9 pm // Free)

Saturday, April 13th

Whether you have a furry friend or not, the Mutt March at the Humane Society is the place to be this Saturday! All guests can enjoy a fun-filled walk with your doggy, some pet-friendly giveaways, a swag bag, food trucks, and more! There will even be a silent auction to raise money for the 8,000 animals at the Jax Humane Society. (Jacksonville Humane Society // 9-1 pm // $30)

Who wants to go to the zoo? Come on, I know you all do! Well this Sunday, the Garden & Art Festival is going down at the Jacksonville Zoo! They will have horticultural experts, local artists, live music, art demos, garden tours, and much more. All you have to do is pay the zoo admission cost! (Jacksonville Zoo // 10-3 pm // $20)

Monday, April 15th

Everyone’s favorite game is Super Smash Bros…no exceptions. Come on out to Keg & Coin to play this all-time classic in a friendlies format! Multiple TVs and a big screen projector…It’s going to be LIT. (Keg & Coin // 7 pm // Free)

Spring fever is REAL. If any of the lovely ladies out there want to beautify their door for spring, join the Felt Flower Wreath Making Workshop to beautify your door for spring! Grom Day 2K19 is back in action. At the Regency Square Mall, we are ready to watch little rippers tear up the skate park. Everyone loves a good joke but it makes it even cooler when you’re watching local comedians (even though they might not be as good…just kidding). This LOL Comedy Night at Comedy Zone is offering you a lineup of some of the funniest comedians all around Jax. So whether you’re just hanging with friends or planning a fun date, this is perfect time to go and get in some laughs. (Comedy Zone // 7:30 pm // $10)

You already know that if you’re looking for an affordable, fun date, you got PLENTY of choices to impress your man or lady. And if you’re riding solo or just tagging along with a buddy, there is so much to be done! Jacksonville has got it going on this April, so just remember that you can sleep when you die.
